Need of revamping Forensic Science in India

Abstract

Forensic science though sounds to be a glamorous and exciting scientific discipline providing numerous interesting awarding careers; the picture in real world is totally different. Its growth is static,ratherstunted in India.Every yearmore than 400 students are getting bachelor's, masters and doctorate degrees in the subject of 'Forensic Science' from various government/private universities and institutes. However,the job prospects are limited, despite ofthe fact that almost all the universities which are providing forensic coursesareAorA+asaccreditedbyNAAC .
